Jamie Smith began her career as a Notary and Signing Agent in 1997 with 15+ years of experience in Business Management/ Mortgage Industry. The company was founded in 1997 with the goal of creating Notary Public awareness, helping people correctly understand Notary Law to pass the exam and be an ethical notary with a successful business. To that end, she organized a comprehensive yet easy to understand curriculum acceptable to the CA Secretary of State and has taught in vocational schools, community colleges, adult schools, the Learning Annex, on-site at many professional businesses as well as individuals personally. In 1998, she developed a one on one (1:1) curriculum to train individuals thus becoming the Leader in personalized training. The California course material is approved by the Secretary of State, thus Notary Access Association operates as a state approved Notary Education vendor and also offers LA Notary Prep workshops within the Louisiana Southern University System.
Additionally, she is very knowledgeable in signings of all types of loans (VA, FHA, HELOC, Reverse Mortgage, 1st purchases and loans with direct lenders). In an effort to accomodate as many as possible, she has conducted loan signings/notarizations for the "deaf community" in Amercian Sign Language (ASL)
In 2004, she was particularly recognized by the NATIONAL NOTARY ASSOCIATION as 2004 NATIONAL NOTARY OF THE YEAR" not only for her one-on-one training classes but also for a Mentoring Program she established to assist both new and seasoned Notaries overcome "notary jitters".
