American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting Services
Our ASL services are offered in Northwest Louisiana and East Texas
Interpreters are used for varied assignments, such as : educational school settings, mortgage loan closings, job interviews & orientation, etc. Our rates are categorized in the following manner:
General Assignments—Business Hours (8 am – 4 pm MON-FRI)
General Assignments—Business Hours (4 am – 8 pm MON-FRI)
General Assignments—Weekends/Holidays(4 pm FRI-8 am MON)
Special Events/Conferences - Negotiable
Travel: Additional fees apply for Webster/DeSoto parishes and East TX
Terms: All rates for dynamic interpreters are calculated per interpreter and will be calculated to the nearest half hour with two hour minimum. Overtime (8+ hours) is calculated at time plus one half. State and Federal Holiday Rates are double time.
Numbers of Interpreters: The numbers of dynamic interpreters for each assignment will be determined at the point of request. Generally, an Assignment which last longer than one (1) hour requires two (2) interpreters.
Hiring of Interpreters: It is understood that the purchasing agent will not employ any of the Deaf Action Center’s subcontractors of staff as employees (full or part-time) or as subcontractors for a period of two (2) years from date of request.
Late Request Fee: An administrative fee of $50.00 or 20% (whichever is greater) will be applied to all dynamic interpreting requests made with less than three (3) full business days notice. Late request fees are not applicable to emergency request.
Reimbursable Charges: Parking, public transportation, mileage (at the current government rate) and any other fees incurred during service provision are subject to negotiation prior to assignment.
Travel: Dynamic interpreting fees are calculated on a portal-to-portal basis.
Fees for Special Request: Negotiated at the point of request of prior to assignment.
